Everyone has had their lives affected by cancer in one way or another.  Hearing the words "it's cancer", stops you in your tracks.  Maintaining HOPE and finding a reason to be positive is not only necessary, but is helpful in moving forward through difficult treatments.  Paul Lawonn is a cancer survivor.  It is my pleasure to share his story and words of encouragement. SEVEN STEPS OF PERSISTENT PERSEVERANCE

I am very proud that our organization, Lindsay’s Voice / Trees of Hope WI Inc. has scheduled a “donorship” drive with BloodCenter of Wisconsin for Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 1:00pm – 6:00pm at Hart Park in Wauwatosa (73rd & State St) . As you receive information on this drive, I urge you to schedule an appointment to donate blood. It is important that we maintain an ample blood supply in our community, and that can only be done with BloodCenter of Wisconsin, as they supply 100% of the blood to every community hospital in our area. The blood you donate will save lives right here in your community, specifically patients suffering from traumas and various forms of blood related cancer. Patients are counting on receiving this blood to help them survive or heal. Let’s all participate and make this blood drive a success for all of us. If you haven’t signed up yet, please consider doing so. You’ll be doing more good than you know. You will also have the opportunity to register with the National Marrow...

If someone had told me that we would start, and finish a 1/2 Marathon 5 yrs ago – I would have laughed and said they were crazy… Well, not only did we start and finish a 1/2 Marathon last February, 2012 at Walt Disney World (Princess 1/2) We did it again… Joining 1,000′s of other participants at Disneyland the weekend of Jan 18-20,2013 we were among a group of hundreds from the United States and Canada that support the work of the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society by fundraising with Team In Training. Meeting and talking with them and learning of their reasons for being involved is so inspiring. Dedicated to doing all we can to fight blood cancers, improve treatments and find cures. Everyone has had cancer touch their lives in one way or another. For us, it resulted in the devastating loss of our daughter. But, we will NOT let cancer win. By continuing to reach out to the community and join forces with others who also understand that the advances in treatments are saving lives every day. Dedicated researches,...
